We are a family run business with over 40 years of experience in the motor trade. So many businesses start with this kind of line, so what makes us different you say…. Let me start by taking you on our journey so far.
Our owner Steve while working at a car dealership had a lightbulb moment (not had once since, may I add) It suddenly came to him that if he could contact customers who were selling their car. He could value their car and book them an appointment into a local dealership near them to sell their car and just charge the dealership a finder’s fee for finding them some stock.
So, we set up our Facebook group to build a network of dealerships across the UK. Back then it was Called Trade to Trade underwriting UK. He got a few Dealerships to join his network and started to build this up slowly in the first year buy booking customers into them and supplying them with stock.
After the first year we had built the number of dealerships up to around one thousand which then soon turned into two thousand dealerships and traders joining the Facebook group.
Dealers and traders then started to use our Facebook Group to sell their part ex stock and unwanted stock between each other which then attracted more traders to join the group and we had a bit of what you would call the snowball effect and grew to over four thousand members on the group all posting and buying stock.
During lockdown one and two we could not book customers into dealerships, so we did not have a business to make any revenue over this time. We knew we had a good network in the Facebook group. We brainstormed and decided to make a Trade app where dealerships and traders could buy and sell stock without the buying/selling fees you get with Auction houses, thus Your Stock finder was born like a phoenix rising from the ashes.
Today we have over 5.5K members in our group and over two thousand members on our App making us the second largest trade group of our kind in the UK
